Frederique Constant watches behold a considerable level of extensive work, devotion and time encased within each creation. The brand focuses highly on quality control and customer satisfaction, resulting in an abundance of stunning, delicately crafted time-measuring instruments. Component manufacture, calibre assembly, and watch construction are all independant sectors within the factory, putting heavy emphasis on their responsibility to provide only the highest quality of products to their important customer base. This year the brand are releasing three brand new handcrafted and hand assembled calibres to integrate into the successful Slimline collection.
Every individual worker at Frederic Constant’s headquarters is strongly involved with the design ideas and foundations of each design. The employees voice their opinions, visions and feedback to create the basic sketches of their premature masterpieces. The company’s ethos revolves around the importance of these contributions both visually and vocally as this way is believed to evoke passion and a fruitful working environment which is both rewarding and profitable for all. From the original pencil sketches through to the real life event, experiences are developed and interpreted through their physical handiwork by cutting edge computer software. In-house designers will graphically add layer upon layer of components and materials to gradually shape the contours of the final specification. Much of the intimate decorative detail to the individual watch parts before assembly is hand performed by expert watch technicians, ensuring that this delicate and decisive phase is carried out with attention to detail and utmost care. The moonphase collection demonstrates femininity graced with an air of suaveness and sophistication. After the enormous success of the men’s moonphase, the sensational ladies version is expected to be just as desirable. Deploying a combination of technical expertise with delicate and subtle aesthetics, the new model is gentle and modest yet returns a sense of substance and comfort. A silvered finish has been chosen for the dome-shaped dial, accompanied by eight hand applied diamonds to the hour indices. The smoothly sculptured shoulders softly frame the 38mm case adorned in 60 diamonds. The choice of either a black or brown alligator leather strap effectively completes the intended look of the new sumptuous Slimline member – one that is laced in luxury, worthy of any lover of a highly reliable Swiss Jewellery timepiece. The beautifully decorated moonphase display enhances the rose gold plated steel case. The FC-703VD3SDV automatic movement features adjustable hours minutes and date function through its single crown aiding ease of use and simple functionality.
The gentleman’s range is similar in genetic makeup. It bears a striking midnight blue face, accompanied by outstanding details to the unique moon image created from an incredibly detailed form of technology known as “laser ablation”. The distinctive feature of the watch, like all Frederique Constant creations is that all functions of the timepiece can be accessed through the crown facility. The function can be set in three different positions: “1” for date adjustment, “2” for time adjustment and “0” for winding of the watch. The Moonphase model comes with 26- Jewel movement and 42 hours power reserve.
The company has sourced watch designers and technicians with individuality and a strong sense of passion from Geneve in Switzerland, and brought them together to create a community of energetic and diverse personalities who work synergistically together. The Slimline Moonphase for ladies is the perfect example of a piece of pure craftsmanship that has been affectionately nurtured to reflect these ideologies that evidently run through the very core of Frederique Constant’s watches.
