Adding to their already colourful selection of Endurance Pro watches, Swiss watch manufacturer Breitling includes a gorgeous deep green model to fit in with the ongoing trend of green-coloured timepieces. Other than its new colourway, the Breitling Endurance Pro Green watch maintains all of the same luxury attributes as previous editions including a lightweight Breitlight case, SuperQuartz movement and chronograph complication.
In our opinion, the Breitling Endurance Pro watch collection was one of the best luxury sports watches launched during the year 2020. Described as the ultimate athleisure watch for men and women, the design called for professionals in their field and as such, was promoted alongside Breitling’s Triathlon Squad consisting of Iron Man World Champions Jan Froderno, Chris McCormack and Daniela Ryf. Their high precision movements, durable cases and instantly legible dials became must-haves for those with an active lifestyle and yet still remained stylish enough for everyday wear. Meeting all these criteria is another addition to the collection, the new Breitling Endurance Pro Green watch which delivers a fresh forest green aesthetic.
Starting with the case, the Breitling Endurance Pro Green watch elects a 44mm diameter and a 12.5mm thickness engineered entirely from Breilight. For those unfamiliar with Breitlight, it is a patented material created in-house by the Swiss watch brand and is famed for its lightweight and scratch resistant nature. In fact, it is 3.3 times lighter than titanium and 5.8 times lighter than steel as well as being nonmagnetic, thermally stable, hypoallergenic, and totally scratch proof. Aesthetically, the material is dark and has a slight texture to it giving it a really unique look, especially when compared to black PVD cases that may at first look similar.
Breitlight makes up the entire case of the Breitling Endurance Pro Green watch including the screwed down case back, curved lugs and bidirectional rotating bezel. The latter is adorned with a white printed compass scale. There’s also a non-screw locked crown at 3 o’clock, knurled and decorated in the debuting shade of khaki green and tipped by a polished stainless steel end engraved with the Breitling logo. On either side, there are chronograph pushers also engineered from steel. Completing the case is scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment on both sides and a water resistant rating of 100 metres.
Placed at the centre of the Breitling Endurance Pro Green watch is a classic black dial surrounded by a sloped pulsometer chapter ring in khaki green. This feature has appeared on all previous Endurance Pro watches and is used to monitor your heart rate. There’s also stencil-like Arabic numerals, a skeletonised hour hand and a syringe-shaped minutes hand, all dressed in glow in the dark Superluminova. The slender central chronograph seconds hand is kept bare. Contrasting against the green display is three black subsidiary counters for the small seconds, 12 hours counter and 30 minutes counter and a blackened date window between the 4 and 5 numerals.
Like the rest of the Professional Endurance Pro collection, the Breitling Endurance Pro Green watch is equipped with one of the brand’s legendary SuperQuartz movements. The B82 calibre is 10 times more accurate than a standard quartz movement and has been COSC certified to -4 to +6 seconds per day. Finalising the tool watch is a deep green rubber strap embossed with the Breitling logo and closed by a Breitlight pin buckle.
